A small
privacy note.
This site is a personal and professional hub. I keep information collection proportionate to what a page actually needs.
What happens to information
If you email me, join a project waiting list, or submit a contribution through a page on this site, I receive the information you choose to send and use it to respond, administer that request, or review it for publication where you have given permission. Contributions are not published automatically.
On the “My Life, an Album at a Time” page, optional voice input records and transcribes speech inside your browser. The recording is not uploaded; the editable transcript is included only if you submit the contribution. The first use downloads the speech-recognition runtime and an approximately 64 MB model from jsDelivr and Hugging Face, and the browser may cache these files. The selected album, transcript, and any name or email you provide are sent to the site contribution review queue only when you submit the form.
The site currently has no account system. For the Personal Website service, the “Email your material” link opens your own email app. You choose which documents and photos to attach and send them directly to Martin; the website does not upload or store those files. The material is used to discuss and prepare the site you requested, and nothing is published without your agreement. Please do not email identity documents, banking details or other information you do not want sent by email. Stripe and other linked services process information under their own terms. Privacy-preserving analytics may be added; if it is, this page will identify the provider and the information measured.
